Don’t Waste Your Time
Essentially, when your applicant becomes your business partner, this can be a magnificent opportunity to share the rewards of success while contributing to your business. Realize that this takes commitment from both sides. Your commitment as a team leader and internet-marketing professional is to share your knowledge, skills, connections, experience and time with them. Their commitment is to produce results by applying what you are giving them. The mistakes often made by new internet marketing professionals are not understanding the responsibilities toward one another from the start. A one-sided partnership quickly leads to disappointment and frustration. In your initial business phone call or meeting, ask them any one of the following questions:
What are the most important things you want to achieve from this business?
What income level will you require to achieve these things?
How much time are you prepared to commit to your business each week?
Are you willing to give your business months or even a year to succeed?
First, always discuss their answers to these questions with them, but don’t make the mistake of not getting them in writing, too. Once you’ve established the level of commitment your new team member is prepared to make, you can match your commitment to theirs and go on with the relevant internet marketing training and support.
As an internet-marketing professional, how often does it happen that the people on your marketing team who demand the most often take up most of your time and produce the least? More often that you would like. They will quickly identify themselves by their actions. Instead of supporting the weak, support the strong and this way you stay profitable and build a team of serious entrepreneurs.
Sometimes You’ve Got to Just Say No
Every internet marketing professional has his or her own standards for their marketing team, most people have varied reasons to agree to work with people. You’re the only one who can decide.
In summary, don’t waste your time making the mistake of working with internet marketers who are unwilling to do the work or not prepared to do the work to be successful. It’s far more profitable and a better use of your time and money to invest in serious entrepreneurs ready and willing to create a successful online business.
