PRLog (Press Release)Jun 19, 2010 – Laurie Gondreau, owner of LG Pro Marketing announces her attendance at the Women’s Initiative business tour, one of the first of the currently scheduled tours to see first-hand how Women’s Initiative graduates are starting and growing businesses and transforming our communities. 
When asked about the history of Women’s Initiative, Ms. Gondreau stated, “Women’s Initiative has empowered over 1600 Bay Area businesses from photography studios to mechanic shops, disbursed over $800,000 in loans and helped over 120 women build assets through Individual Development Accounts (IDA or matched savings accounts). This has created financial freedom and an improved the quality of life for women everywhere in the Bay Area.”

Following a short presentation about the story of Women’s Initiative (WI) at 1398 Valencia Street in San Francisco, attendees will tour several WI graduates’ businesses concentrated in this vibrant Mission District neighborhood. After the tour, the group will enjoy dinner at the Front Porch Restaurant located at 65-29th Street, San Francisco. Women’s Initiative graduate, Josie White, owns this restaurant.
